A New Chapter Begins

New tauira. New kaiako. A new chapter begins.

Today we welcomed our first two intakes into the New Zealand Certificate in Whānau Ora (Level 3) at Wai-Tech. Beginning their 20-week journey with a whakatau to open the programme.

Together, these tauira take the first step toward becoming the next generation of Whānau Ora practitioners. Building the knowledge, skills and values to walk alongside whānau and make a real difference in their communities.

We're also delighted to welcome Kaiako Ursula Higgins and Operations Lead Grace Palaga to the Wai-Tech whānau. Their experience, leadership and commitment to kaupapa Māori will help shape an exceptional learning environment for our tauira.

This certificate is also a direct pathway into our New Zealand Diploma in Whānau Ora (Level 5), enabling graduates to keep building their capability and leadership in Whānau Ora practice.
